Soundbath Meditation

Tina draws on her experience as a yoga teacher, vocalist & sound healing guide to help the body & mind to shift from the beta state (alert) to an alpha state (relaxed) or even a theta (meditative) & delta state – which is similar to a deep sleep where restoration occurs.

Feelings of relaxation & meditation come easily with this form of Yoga which is called Nada Yoga (the Yoga of Sound) which incorporates mantra, sound, pranayama (extension of life force – breath) & mindfulness.

Beginners Yoga Course

Our 5 week Beginners Yoga Course is a series of interactive workshops designed to introduce you to a safe and beneficial yoga practice.  Join a maximum of 10 other students and work your way through a structured introduction to yoga which will leave you feeling confident and ready to join in with regular group yoga classes.

Restorative Yoga

Yoga Philosophy & Chanting

4 group classes every second Saturday

Beyond the poses and breathing practices presented in everyday yoga classes is a rich philosophy which, for thousands of years has guided humans to a better understanding of themselves and towards the experience of joyous life.
 
In this class we engage in a step by step study of this philosophy as it is laid out in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra. Develop familiarity with Sanskrit phrases that are so much richer than their simple English translations.  We will chant and discuss the meaning of each sutra and you will have an opportunity to reflect quietly on how the sutra relates to you.

Exploring Breath Program

A 4 week program of Pranayama and Meditation
 
Enhance your capacity to breathe for physical, mental and emotional wellbeing by elevating your understanding of how to change your breathing to calm your mind and nervous system using yogic breathing practices – Pranayama – with gentle expert guidance.  You’ll come away with at toolbox of breathing techniques to apply in a home practice, and a better understanding of the techniques you come across in regular yoga classes.
