Seniors Yoga Classes
There’s no need to let an aging body stop you from starting or practicing yoga, in fact a regular yoga practice can be just the thing to help you maintain mobility, vitality and joyousness as the years tick by and health challenges start to flair up more frequently.
At Relax Yoga we welcome senior students into all our classes. But if you are looking for yoga for elderly beginners or are concerned about limitations to your mobility there are 3 classes on the Relax Yoga Schedule that we recommend for you, and you can join in at our Chermside West Yoga Studio.
They are:
Beginners Yoga
Every Monday at 10:30am
with Tes
Dru Yoga for Women
Every Thursday at 9am
with Jane
Dru Yoga for Women
Every Thursday at 10:30am
with Jane
Each of these classes offers a slow, gentle flow with a small community of students including fellow seniors.
Lessons are structured to mobilise the spine and all joints using simple movements, breathing, mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Options are always offered to ensure everyone has a version of the movement or posture to practice safely and with confidence.
New students with no prior yoga experience can join in at any time.
The teachers for these classes are highly trained and experienced yoga professionals.
