Want to know more about the General Yoga Style?
General Yoga Teachers at Relax Yoga are extensively trained in the Viniyoga Tradition, which prioritises meeting the individual needs of each student and focuses on function over form.
This means you’ll you’ll never be expected to do a “perfect pose” instead you’ll learn how to bring the function of that pose to your body.
We often theme classes to teach the deeper aspect of yoga and use a range of techniques, including breath centred movement, static postures, breathing, focus and mantra so practices are much more than a gentle workout, we use the movement to induce calm.
Each class is expertly planned, then adapted to the students on the day, so no matter how stressed, tired, stiff or sore you are you can still join in.
There’s enough repetition between classes that you quickly master fundamental techniques.
And enough variety that you’re always developing new skills and can experience a personal progression to a depth of yoga that brightens your everyday life.

I’ve never done yoga before. Is this a good place to start?
Yes. General Yoga is genuinely beginner-friendly and welcomes you exactly as you are.
How often is ideal?
Your flexibility, balance and calm grow with consistency. 1–2 classes a week is enough to feel real progress, and you can add more once an easy routine is established.
I have pain, stiffness or an injury. Will I be okay?
If you have medical clearance to exercise, yes. Let your teacher know and supportive variations will be offered so your body feels safe and included.
What if I can’t make it to class?
Cancel at least 4 hours before class and book another time that’s convenient for you.
What if I’m going away?
Your membership can be paused anytime for any reason (minimum 7 days).
How much does it cost?
1 class/week — $19.50 per class ($78 every 4 weeks)

Autopays can be self-canceled anytime.
How many people are in each class?
Classes stay small and friendly, usually 5–10 people, max 12. You feel seen and supported from the moment you walk in.
